Κιτ επιβίωσης για το καλοκαίρι!
Καλοκαιράκι, η εποχή που απολαμβάνουμε τις βόλτες στη φύση, τις βουτιές στη θάλασσα και τις καλοκαιρινές διακοπές. Ταυτόχρονα όμως, η εποχή αυτή έχει και τις δυσκολίες της, όπως τις συνθήκες καύσωνα που βιώνουμε αυτές τις ημέρες στη χώρα. Κι ενώ ζητάμε από κυβερνήσεις και ιθύνοντες να πάρουν μέτρα για την κλιματική κρίση ώστε να μην βιώσουμε ακόμα χειρότερα ακραία καιρικά φαινόμενα, δεν παραμελούμε τον εαυτό μας και τους συνανθρώπους μας και προστατευόμαστε όσο μπορούμε.
Και όταν πηγαίνουμε στις παραλίες ή έρθει η ώρα των διακοπών και των εξορμήσεων, φροντίζουμε να περάσουμε καλά χωρίς να “πληγώσουμε” το φυσικό περιβάλλον γύρω μας. Υπάρχουν εύκολοι τρόποι να μειώσουμε το περιβαλλοντικό μας αποτύπωμα χωρίς να στερηθούμε κάτι, και γι’ αυτό αποφασίσαμε να σου πούμε μερικούς παρακάτω!
Διακοπές με χαμηλό αποτύπωμα
Όχι σκουπίδια, όχι πλαστικά!
Πας παραλία και παίρνεις ομπρέλα, ίσως καρεκλίτσα, παιχνίδια για την παραλία αλλά και… τα απαραίτητα επαναχρησιμοποιούμενα αξεσουάρ σου! Γιατί να παράγεις σκουπίδια, και ειδικά πλαστικά, όταν υπάρχουν τόσες πολλές επιλογές; Δες παρακάτω:
- Επαναχρησιμοποιούμενο ποτήρι για τα ροφήματά σου
- Επαναχρησιμοποιούμενο μπουκάλι θερμός για το νερό σου (θα μένει και δροσερό)
- Μεταλλικό, γυάλινο ή bamboo καλαμάκι
- Bamboo μαχαιροπίρουνα
- Επαναχρησιμοποιούμενο δοχείο φαγητού για τα σνακ σου
- Υφασμάτινες πετσέτες αντί για χαρτοπετσέτες
Ακόμα κι αν παράξεις τελικά κάποια σκουπίδια, οποιουδήποτε είδους, φρόντισε να τα πάρεις όλα μαζί σου και να τα πετάξεις στους ανάλογους κάδους, ώστε να μην αφήσεις τίποτα πίσω!
Θέλεις οπωσδήποτε αμάξι;
Στις διακοπές σου, σίγουρα θέλεις να επισκεφθείς διάφορα σημεία ενδιαφέροντος: όμορφα χωριά, παραλίες, αξιοθέατα κτλ. Μήπως αντί να πας με αμάξι, μπορείς να πας εκεί με τοπικό λεωφορείο, με ποδήλατο ή ακόμα και με καΐκι; Σε πολλά νησιά μας πχ, οι εκδρομές με μικρά σκαφάκια είναι μέρος της ταξιδιωτικής εμπειρίας. Επίσης, πολλά μέρη προσφέρονται για περπάτημα, δοκίμασέ το!
Αν χρειάζεσαι αυτοκίνητο, σκέψου το ενδεχόμενο να το νοικιάσεις για λίγες μέρες στο μέρος που κάνεις διακοπές κι όχι να ταξιδέψεις με αυτό. Έτσι, θα γλιτώσεις πολλά χιλιόμετρα σε βενζίνη, εξοικονομώντας χρήματα, αλλά και θα μειώσεις τις εκπομπές ρύπων που θα εκπέμψεις.
Ώρα για φαγητό
Αν στις διακοπές σου προτιμάς να μαγειρεύεις, μπορείς να φροντίσεις ώστε η τροφή σου να μην έχει διανύσει περισσότερα χιλιόμετρα από όσα έκανες εσύ για να φτάσεις εκεί. Βρες εποχικά και τοπικά φρούτα και λαχανικά, από μικρές αγορές ή μικρούς ντόπιους παραγωγούς, που έχουν καλλιεργηθεί με βιώσιμο τρόπο. Έτσι, θα στηρίξεις και την τοπική οικονομία.
Αν πάλι γευματίζεις έξω στις διακοπές, κάνε την έρευνά σου. Έχουν τα εστιατόρια προϊόντα εποχής, από μικρούς, τοπικούς παραγωγούς; Έχουν προϊόντα που κανονικά απαγορεύεται να διαθέτουν (πχ γόνο, δηλαδή πολύ μικρό ψάρι που δεν έχει προλάβει να αναπαραχθεί); Το τέλειο δεν θα υπάρχει, αλλά μπορείς να επιλέξεις τα πιο βιώσιμα μέρη για τα γεύματά σου.
Δείξε την αγάπη σου…
…όχι μόνο στον εαυτό σου και τους δικούς σου ανθρώπους, αλλά και στο μέρος στο οποίο βρίσκεσαι. Πώς μπορείς να το κάνεις αυτό; Φροντίζοντας να μην σπαταλάς τους πόρους του: για παράδειγμα, να σβήνεις τα φώτα και να προσέχεις πόση ενέργεια καταναλώνεις, να προσέχεις πόσο νερό χαλάς, να προτιμάς μικρά, τοπικά μαγαζιά για τις αγορές σου, να μην πειράζεις τη χλωρίδα και την πανίδα (ας αφήνουμε τα κοχυλάκια και τα πετραδάκια στις παραλίες στη θέση τους, για κάποιον λόγο τα έβαλε εκεί η φύση). Ο πλανήτης μας είναι το μεγάλο μας σπίτι, γι’ αυτό και κάθε μέρος που επισκεπτόμαστε θέλει τη φροντίδα μας!

Πώς να επιβιώσεις στον καύσωνα:
- Ενυδατώσου! Το νερό είναι ο καλύτερος φίλος σου. Μάλιστα, φρόντισε να έχεις ενυδατωθεί πριν βγεις στη ζέστη και μην περιμένεις μέχρι να διψάσεις
- Μείνε στη σκιά ή σε εσωτερικούς χώρους με σχετική δροσιά
- Φόρα καπέλο, ελαφριά και ανοιχτόχρωμα ρούχα
- Κατανάλωσε λιγότερα και παγωμένα φαγητά, με περισσότερα λαχανικά και απόφυγε το αλκοόλ, το οποίο έχει την τάση να μας αφυδατώνει
- Απόφυγε να είσαι έξω τις ώρες που ο ήλιος είναι πιο επικίνδυνος
- Κάνε δροσερά ντους
- Προσοχή με τη χρήση αυτοκινήτου! Ακόμα και με το air condition να δουλεύει, η θερμοκρασία στο εσωτερικό του αυτοκινήτου ανεβαίνει επικίνδυνα γρήγορα, γι’ αυτό καλό είναι το όχημά μας να βρίσκεται σε άριστη κατάσταση και να μετριάσουμε τη χρήση του
